Coinstare was founded in December 2020 in Japan. We create apparel, accessories and apps with a blend of luxury and timelessness that influences areas of pop culture, memes, fashion, design and art. 

The name Coinstare was created with a self irony meant to provoke ideas and thought. In a modern world of social media, new technologies and social changes, we are constantly focused on screens and digits rather than sometimes the things that truly matter. There is an abundance of opportunity online and we must embrace that medium and make the most of it to better our lives, but we also encourage our community to see the real beauty around us in nature, humans, animals, kindness, creativity and just plain old loving and living. 

As we evolve the brand to continually lead and define fashion and culture, its inspirational slogan highlights a brand always focused on today - the here and now - and importance of living in the moment, hence “the proper function of man is to live,  not to exist”.
